Meliantha Muliawan (b.1992, Indonesia)
Meliantha Muliawan was born in 1992 in Pontianak, Indonesia. She received her bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Faculty of Visual Art and Design, Bandung Institute of Technology (2010-2014). The artist addresses social behaviours and topics by exploring the relationship between inanimate objects and its context. Muliawan uses resin to transform everyday materials such as fabric into a solid sculptural form, leaving viewers to contemplate the associated message behind every work.
The artist currently lives and works in Yogyakarta, Indonesia.
